Electrical Grade Treated Silica Powder is a deep-processed version of our electrical-grade product. It starts with the excellent electrical insulation properties of Electrical Grade Silica Powder. Then we add a special surface activation treatment. This gives the powder better surface chemistry. It bonds much more strongly with epoxy and polyester insulation materials. This upgrade gives three direct benefits. The mechanical strength of the casting material increases. The crack resistance improves. The dimensional stability under thermal cycling becomes much better.

In outdoor insulators and bushings, the improved interface reduces tracking under wet and polluted conditions.
